Background: Legolas was found 'lost' or abandonded as a very small child by a wood elf going about his duties in the forest around his village. Gandrel Acher took the child in and gave him his name and brought him up as his own. As soon as Legolas could walk gandrel took him with him as he worked in the forest teaching him the basics in archery , tracking and other forest skills. This included respecting the forest and how to take care of injured wildlife like birds and foxes. Gandrel doted on Legolas and they were inseperable and would spend days on end in the forest withjust each other for company. As a child Legolas was taunted and ridiculed for being 'different' by the other childeren in the village. As a result Legolas withdrew into himself and did not go and play with the children preferring instead to spend time alone practicing archery , swordmanship or going into the woods with gandrel to to practce forest skills. When in company Legolas took to wearing his forest cloak with the hood up in order to try and stop the other children teasing him. As Legolas grew his hours of practice became more apparent. By the age of 10 he had mastered the bow and was an expert tracker in the surrounding woods. The swordmanship was average (there is only so much you can learn on your own) Torin a close friend of Gandrel also took Legolas under his wing and taught him how to train and keep eagles and hawks. A niggle at the back of Legolas's Mind on why he had been left by his own people and he found he was spending more and more time thinking it over. Eventually Legolas started spending more and more time in the forest and on his own as Grandrel had to spend time with the rest of the family and could not go for weeks on end. Legolas loves the forests and nature in general and would protect it with his life if necessary. His favourite weapon is the long bow but if in hand to hand the long sword is favoured. weaknesses: Legolas's major weakness is the fear of hieght as becauseas a child when in the forest with Gandrel thinking he new it all Legolas climbed a huge tree to get a better look at the forest and fell breaking his left arm in 3 places and his collar bone. Now just being at the edge of a big drop makes him start to shake uncontrolably and freeze on the spot. Another weakness is large groups of people as it makes him very uncomfortable and he shys away when he can
